Most of the year this grain elevator sits as though abandoned and I was attracted by the look of something unused. Couldn’t wait to try out my new camera on it! But before I got the camera this year they decided to put a new roof on it and have been airing it out in preparation for storing the local winter wheat harvest. I wanted to catch it with the uppermost window open and then contrast it with a picture of it when it’s all closed up again during the coming winter. This is taken from my patio with my Nikon D5100 and the zoom lens, on the “P” setting because I am still learning about manual settings.
My umpty-first try.
